Typical ASAM ODS Servers run as single project instances and only allow limited scalability within the Kubernetes-native features. Thus, most ASAM ODS-based systems are project-oriented installations for a limited number of users.

 

With the AReS Gateway, we offer a serverless solution for enterprises with larger production systems, high data ingestion rates, and many users. The solutions combine multiple AReS Libertas ODS servers to project clusters and provide access to them, such as ASAM ODS server clusters for battery, powertrain, and safety. Therefore, the Ares Gateway operates as a single-entry node for any measured data in the enterprise.

 

The AReS Gateway transforms the AReS Libertas ODS Server into a Global Enterprise Test Data Management that can handle large volumes of data, making it suitable for modern automotive applications that require extensive data analysis. It suits enterprises with multiple company locations that require 24/7 availability, load balancing, and a horizontally scalable analytics process. It fully integrates with the AReS Libertas ODS6 Server by making each end node globally accessible, polyglot available, and on-demand scalable.

Features

Enterprise Scalability

System scalability refers to a system's ability to handle increased load or demand without sacrificing performance. The AReS Gateway implementation is based on the Plankton microservices approach and a server-less variant of the AReS Libertas ODS Server. It bundles multiple servers into one cluster to scale the system based on its requirements, whether for many end-users, a high data volume ingestion, or processing performance needed for processing. Thus, ASAM ODS Systems by HighQSoft can be scaled vertically and horizontally.

System Monitoring

System monitoring is the continuous observation of a computer system's performance and health. It involves tracking various metrics such as CPU usage, memory consumption, disk activity, network traffic, and application performance. The ARes Gateway provides a system cockpit to monitor available system components and keep the system operable. All servers in the cluster can be stopped, started, and interacted with.

System Logging

System logging is the process of recording events and activities occurring within a computer system or network. The AReS Gateway allows centralized logging of all system requests and can transparently separate sessions and processes for analysis.

Fail-Safe Mode

Fail-safe mode is a protective feature in systems and devices designed to minimize risk and prevent catastrophic failures in the event of a malfunction or error. The AReS Gateway comes with satellite fail-safe mode in a microservices environment. The setup covers single nodes failing while guaranteeing system operability. The main objective is to provide a 24/7 level of operation.

Load-Balancing

Load balancing is the process of distributing network or application traffic across multiple servers to ensure optimal resource use, minimize response times, and prevent any single server from becoming overwhelmed. Load balancing is one of the key features provided by the AReS Gateway. While all queries are run through a single node, they are processed by a scalable number of AReS ODS 6 Servers or single service nodes. Depending on the setup, various kinds of load balancing can be implemented to suit the system's requirements.

Globalization

The AReS Gateway is a flexible entry node for enterprise solutions. Global projects may require additional performance and a “single point of truth” for data location. The AReS Gateway also supports this feature by enhancing the setup with additional Plankton services. All data can always be accessed within one entry point.

Docker & Kubernetes

AReS Libertas ODS Server supports Docker containerization. This assists the system's rollout and reduces the administration efforts of customized ASAM ODS systems. With Kubernetes, AReS Libertas ODS Server runs as a service within an orchestrated system environment with automated software deployment, service scaling, and service management.

On-Prem Systems

All software provided by HighQSoft runs in on-prem systems provided by the customer, regardless of whether it is a Windows, Linux, Docker Engine, or Kubernetes setup. We provide a solution for most, if not all, system environments.

Cloud

All software provided by HighQSoft runs in cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba. We are compatible with Kubernetes and Openshift. Most storage options, such as data buckets, are supported. Authentication with OAuth is also supported.
