In the 2022 cross-test, participating companies came together to review and improve their software in real-world scenarios. The participants helped each other to understand the small differences in the data formats of the various programs and to solve the difficulties that can arise when interpreting this data. It was also possible to discuss ambiguities, ambiguities, and contradictions in the standard, which can then be eliminated in the next version of the standard. BMW AG hosted this event at the BMW Training Academy in Unterschleissheim.
A test sheet was created for each client, on which the test criteria for the individual servers could be documented. It was very pleasing to see that newer ASAM ODS clients also took part in the event. During the event, some of them were able to adapt their software to improve compatibility with the standard. When problems occurred, the helpfulness of the participants was very great and some misunderstandings could be cleared up. The ATFX files could be examined with several clients and validated with corresponding graphical evaluations.
A special thanks for this goes to BMW AG as host. The participating companies at this crosstest were:

We can help! With the IIOP Gateway bridges ASAM ODS 5 clients to ASAM ODS 6 systems. Thus, you can run an ASAM ODS 6 server such as our ARes Server or AReS Libertas ODS Platform while taking time on migrating tools and scripts using ASAM ODS 5.
The IIOP Gateway is now available in version 1.2.

You are still using an ASAM ODS 5 server with CORBA? You would like to migrate your system but have many tools and processes relying on ASAM ODS 5 API.

Today, we released a new version of our HighQSoft Query Language.
This version fixes a problem that occurs with inconsistent unit tables. Units should be unique and assigned to a physical dimension. If this is not the case HQL could not resolve the mapping between unit and unit ID. But this is necessary, because the ASAM ODS server for attribute values and mass data always provides a unit ID, which then has to be mapped by HQL to the corresponding string presentation.
Also, HQL now contains an experimental Performance Analyzer that can be used to obtain information and statistical data about HQL commands and execution times
HQL is available as
HQL is a versatile and easy-to-learn query language to access measurement data in ASAM ODS solutions. The HQL library assists data analysts and engineers in their daily work to evaluate data and helps developers to integrate new tools and processes into the enterprise test data management solution.
Today, we released a new version of our Avalon ODS Server.
Our Avalon ODS Server is the ASAM ODS reference server for ODS 5. While ODS 6 is getting established, many systems are still running on ODS 5 and need to be maintained. With the Avalon ODS Server 5.2 release we are providing an upgrade including further bug fixes, performance optimizations, and stability upgrades for Avalon, the MME Translator, ODS API, and tools.
